Stupid Business Practices
For years, store owners whined and complained
about all the business they were losing by not being allowed to open on Sundays and holidays, so the government changed the
laws.
Consumers were thrilled. No more having to rush
home from work, cleanup, change, and try to get to a store before it closed. They could shop any day they wanted to. So they
thought.
Try driving around your town or city on a Sunday or holiday.
You'll find the majority of businesses are CLOSED.
I don't really blame them. Everyone needs time off from
work, but why make such a big stink over being allowed to open if they intended to stay closed?
It's stupid things like this that cost us more in taxes
because everytime someone wants the government to change something, they have to pay to have a study done on whether or not
it should be changed.
One major complaint a lot of consumers have is that businesses
open and close at too many varied times of day and even close completely on different days of the week. People never know
when they can do their shopping because they don't know when all the stores will be open. It's expensive and time consuming
to have to make several trips to do your shopping because the stores you need aren't open at the same time.
